Ltd.</publisher-name></publisher></journal-meta><article-meta><article-id pub-id-type="doi">10.18063/CEF.v3i9.1088</article-id><article-categories><subj-group subj-group-type="heading"><subject>Article</subject></subj-group></article-categories><title>The Impact of Social Exclusion on Light Social Interaction Among College Students: The Chain Mediating Effects of Algorithmic Perception and Social Distance</title><url>https://artdesignp.com/journal/CEF/3/9/10.18063/CEF.v3i9.1088</url><author>DaiShengwei,LinJiaqi,LinXiaojuan</author><pub-date pub-type="publication-year"><year>2025</year></pub-date><volume>3</volume><issue>9</issue><history><date date-type="pub"><published-time>2025-10-26</published-time></date></history><abstract>Purpose:&amp;nbsp;This study aims to examine the impact of social exclusion on light social interaction among college students and to investigate the chain-mediating roles of algorithmic perception&amp;nbsp;and social distance.&amp;nbsp;Method:&amp;nbsp;A questionnaire survey was conducted among 370 college students using the Social Exclusion Questionnaire, the Light Social Interaction Scale, the Algorithmic Perception&amp;nbsp;Scale, and the Social Distance Scale.&amp;nbsp;Results:&amp;nbsp;(1) Social exclusion positively predicted light social interaction. (2) Algorithmic perception&amp;nbsp;and social distance respectively mediated the relationship between social exclusion and light social interaction.
