To do this, the research uses questionnaire surveys, in-depth interviews, and bibliometric analysis, combining theoretical discussion with empirical investigation. The findings suggest that short videos, as a new carrier for education, have clear educational value. At the same time, problems in their content ecology and the fragmented way they spread can also create negative effects. These effects are not minor. In response, the study builds a strategy framework from three dimensions: governance subjects, educational fields, and educated individuals. More specifically, it argues for stronger supervision mechanisms in campus network governance, the production of high-quality short video content, and better media literacy so college students can identify and use media information more effectively. It also proposes stronger positive value guidance, new teaching models in pedagogical practice, and support for independent learning and self-discipline at the level of individual growth. Together, these measures provide practical support for ideological and political education practitioners as they adjust college student education to the short video context.
<keywords>New media, College students, Education, Impact, Countermeasures, Short videos</keywords></article-meta></front><body/><back><ref-list><ref id="B1" content-type="article"><label>1</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>[1] China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), 2026, The 57th Statistical Report on Internet Development in China [Report], CNNIC. https://www.cnnic.net.cn/en/
