This article examines four songs from the cycle through four technical concerns: registration, breath pacing, airflow in German articulation, and control of a diminuendo. The first song is considered in relation to the lower passaggio; the second to sustained F4 and breath distribution; the third to rapid text and dramatic energy; and the fourth to quiet, extended phrases. Score observation is combined with established vocal-pedagogical literature. Short exercises are suggested only where they can be taken back into the actual musical phrase. The aim is not to test a physiological treatment experimentally, but to show how a teacher can use a demanding Lied passage to locate a coordination problem and then work on that problem without losing the musical context.Breath management,Vocal registration,Mezzo-soprano,Passaggio,Airflow coordination,Vocal efficiency
