Therefore, this article addresses this reason through a case study of Henan Opera. Informed by a systematic approach, there have been various improvements, good and bad criticisms, as well as affirmations in regard to opera. The lack of the Chinese opera spirit is the root of the difficulties in the development of Chinese opera.
