Addressing issues such as insufficient integration of ideological and political education into traditional courses and rigid teaching models, this paper identifies the advantages of ideological and political education based on the characteristics of the course and proposes reform pathways and methods. By incorporating ideological and political education elements such as Chinese traditional culture, values, red culture, and professional ethics into course instruction; innovating teaching methods to establish a blended learning model; using “case studies + projects” to drive ideological and political education integration; leveraging “competition-driven learning” to strengthen professional ethics cultivation; and leveraging technological and conceptual innovations to expand the dimensions of ideological and political education. In teaching practice, modularized instruction is adopted to deeply integrate ideological and political education elements with the curriculum. Cases from outstanding designers are introduced, and real projects and competition topics are used to drive project-based training. Additionally, AIGC technology is utilized to enrich the carriers of ideological and political education, achieving the synergistic development of “professional skill enhancement” and “value concept shaping”.
<keywords/></article-meta></front><body/><back><ref-list><ref id="B1" content-type="article"><label>1</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Concerns, 2024, Innovatively creating “golden courses” for ideological and political education.</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref><ref id="B2" content-type="article"><label>2</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>Sun A, Du N, 2024, Exploration and practice of the “finance” “smart + ideological and political education” teaching model in applied undergraduate colleges, Journal of Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology, 38(03): 71–76.</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref><ref id="B3" content-type="article"><label>3</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>Chen H, Xu J, Gao S, 2021, Design and practice of ideological and political education in art design courses at higher vocational colleges: taking the “graphic creativity” course as an example, Design, 34(11): 107–109.</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref><ref id="B4" content-type="article"><label>4</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>Zhu Y, Zhang Z, 2021, Practical research on the integration of ideological and political elements of the ‘happiness through struggle’ concept into art design courses, Design, 34(05): 94–96.</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref><ref id="B5" content-type="article"><label>5</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>Gao P, Xu Z, Zheng S, et al., 2025, Construction and practice of online quality courses in the context of course-based ideological and political education: taking the national online quality course “graphic creativity” in vocational education as an example, New Meiyu, 2025(03): 172–174.</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref><ref id="B6" content-type="article"><label>6</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>Jiang M, 2023, New design series textbooks for Chinese art colleges and universities: Graphic design (Second Edition), Shanghai: Shanghai People’s Fine Arts Publishing House.</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref><ref id="B7" content-type="article"><label>7</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>Huo K, Wang Y, 2024, Research on art design teaching reform and practice based on competition-oriented education, Green Packaging, 2024(4): 48–51.</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref></ref-list></back></article>
