With the development of the times and the advancement of educational reform, the role of scientific research in higher vocational colleges has become increasingly prominent. This paper begins by examining the necessity of conducting scientific research in higher vocational colleges, providing an in-depth analysis of its importance in enhancing teaching quality, promoting teachers' professional development, driving social services, and strengthening the core competitiveness of institutions. Simultaneously, addressing the existing problems in current research work at higher vocational colleges, the paper proposes innovative pathways focusing on the innovation of research management systems, research team building, research funding investment, and the transformation of research outcomes. The aim is to provide valuable references for the research development of higher vocational colleges.
