This articlesystematically reviews the epidemiological characteristics of pneumonia susceptibility in schizophrenia patients, deeplyexplores the multifaceted risk factors, including disease-specific features, antipsychotic medication effects, behavioraland lifestyle factors, and immune dysfunction. Based on this, the article further analyzes the core pathophysiologicalmechanisms underlying this susceptibility and comprehensively summarizes strategies for pneumonia prevention, earlyidentification, and treatment.
