This paper outlines the advantages of fiber-optic sensors over traditional sensors, such as high precision, strong resistance to electromagnetic interference, and long transmission distance. On this basis, the paper discusses the application scenarios of fiber-optic sensors in the Internet of Things, including environmental monitoring, intelligent industry, medical and health care, intelligent transportation, and other fields.
