Some special areas are also interconnected through bridges, but constructing highway bridges through complex terrains or across valleys and mountain gullies presents significant challenges, requiring an increase in the height of bridge piers. These bridge piers generally reach tens or even hundreds of meters in height. Furthermore, the construction of these high-pier bridges is becoming increasingly widespread. Not only do they pose greater construction challenges, but they also have higher requirements for seismic resistance.
