Methods: 88 patients with mild COVID-19 admitted to the hospital for outpatient treatment from December&amp;nbsp;2022 to July 2023 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into two groups through random number&amp;nbsp;generator. The control group was given conventional Western medicine treatment, while the observation group was given&amp;nbsp;Buzhong Yiqi decoction combined treatment. The effects of the two types of treatment were compared and analyzed.&amp;nbsp; Results: Before treatment, there was no difference in inflammatory indicators between the two groups (P &amp;gt; 0.05); after&amp;nbsp;treatment, the C-reactive protein (CRP), white blood cells (WBC), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P &amp;lt; 0.05). The treatment received in the observation group was significantly&amp;nbsp;more effective the treatment received in the control group (P &amp;lt; 0.05). There was no difference in the scores of the&amp;nbsp;traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scale between the two groups before treatment (P &amp;gt; 0.05). The scores for fatigue,&amp;nbsp;sputum, cough, and fever of the observation group after treatment were all lower than those of the control group (P &amp;lt; 0.05).&amp;nbsp;However, there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P&amp;nbsp;&amp;gt; 0.05). Conclusion: Buzhong Yiqi Decoction can reduce symptoms and improve the body’s inflammatory response of&amp;nbsp;patients with mild COVID-19 patients.
<keywords/></article-meta></front><body/><back><ref-list><ref id="B1" content-type="article"><label>1</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>You Y, Yan H, Wang S, et al., 2020, Chinese Medicine Treatment Strategies for Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref><ref id="B2" content-type="article"><label>2</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>(COVID-19).
