With the advent of the digital age, especially the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the restoration of film cultural heritage has emerged. This paper traces the historical evolution of film restoration techniques, analyzing the technological advancements from photochemical restoration to digital restoration and then to AI restoration. It discusses how film restoration has undergone revolutionary changes driven by digital technology and artificial intelligence.
