By comparing and analyzing "Youth Diary" and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", this article attempts to understand the presentation and generation mechanisms of adolescent difficulties in different cultural contexts from the perspective of visual writing. The adolescent dilemma is not a projection of a single social problem, but the result of continuous construction and reproduction under the joint action of family structure, social value norms, and education system.
