It aims to promote the stability of the global ecological environment by verifying and constraining greenhouse gas emissions. This paper discusses the basic background, practical value, and trading methods of carbon sequestration trading, and puts forward strategies and suggestions for promoting carbon sequestration trading in Zhuzhou City based on its actual situation. Carbon sequestration trading not only promotes sustainable development but also facilitates the compensation of ecological value, providing strong support for the realization of China’s dual carbon goals.
