This paper intends to compare and analyze the mining acts of two countries from the aspects of legislative background, legislative status, legislative purpose, legislative structure, administrative power setting, mineral rights, environmental protection, and financial regulations. From the above comparison, the paper can see that Kenya and Tanzania are in the same pursuit of economic development, and both pay more attention to the use of tax policies and the supervision of administrative power.
<keywords/></article-meta></front><body/><back><ref-list><ref id="B1" content-type="article"><label>1</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>USGS, Yager TR, 2015, The Mineral Industries of Kenya 2010–2015, in Minerals Yearbook.</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref><ref id="B2" content-type="article"><label>2</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>Business Monitor International Ltd., 2016, Tanzania Mining Report Q2.</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref><ref id="B3" content-type="article"><label>3</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>Yager TR, 2015, The Mineral Industry of Tanzania, in 2013 Minerals Yearbook.</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref><ref id="B4" content-type="article"><label>4</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>The State Department for Mining, 2025, Public Notice on Draft Mining Regulations and Guidelines. http://www.mining.go.ke/</p><pub-id pub-id-type="doi"/></element-citation></ref><ref id="B5" content-type="article"><label>5</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>Ministry of Energy and Minerals, 2009, Vision and Mission, in The Mineral Policy of Tanzania.
